Colorful Seasons Card Set & Gift Box - Craft Project Central

Hello! It's time for another fun project at Craft Project Central.

The Colorful Seasons Card Set & Gift Box tutorial is designed by Monica Davis.

Is your craft room getting full of too many stamp and die sets? Do you find you don’t get enough use out of your products? Here is a card set using the same stamp and die sets, paired with different techniques. The cards can be easily reproduced to make a number of sets. The coordinating box is also very easy to make and can be reused as a small gift bag. This is a fun card set showcasing the beautiful images of Colorful Seasons Stamp Set, the coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies and the sets versatility.

Painted Harvest Wreath: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog hop. There are 20 of us from around the world so be sure to follow along to see everyone's projects. You should have just come from Holly's blog.

For our blog hop this month we are featuring the Painted Harvest Bundle. I'm not really sure how we have made it to September and fall things. I feel like it was just spring, I blinked and now here we are in September. Since I still don't want to let summer go, I chose to make a fun green wreath with the bundle. I guess you could say I was inspired by ferns. I feel like the leaves have a fern-ish look to them. Maybe? I don't know, they look like some kind of summer plant.

So I got busy stamping about 20 leaves with Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive inks. The leaf punch made cutting these out a breeze! Once I was done with the wreath leaves, I used the same leaf stamp to make a flower. I stamped the more solid color stamp with Powder Pink ink and then using my aqua painter and some Berry Burst ink, blended the petals a bit.

I punched the leaf (flower) with the leaf punch, then I cut off the ends and glued them all together with glue dots. The center of the flower is actually the bottom part of the acorn stamp. I stamped that in Berry Burst and added a gold faceted gem to the middle.

Before added the flower to the wreath, I wrapped some Jute twine behind it. The center portion of the card was layered on a piece of the Painted Autumn DSP. I finished off the card with the sentiment, Iridescent sequins and some Gold Mini sequin trim.

I hope you enjoyed today's summery card! :)

Back to School Pencil Tags

Hello! It's Tuesday and it's my son's first day of Kindergarten! Where has the time gone?? I feel like it was just yesterday that I was dropping him off to daycare. He has been at the same daycare for the past 5 years and that time has gone by in a flash! His last day at daycare was on Friday and he brought his 2 teachers a little gift. Of course I had to dress up the gift! :) If I had more time, I would have done something a little more elaborate but I thought these pencil tags turned out cute.

Mercedes Weber made little pencil boxes using the Home Sweet Home bundle so I just used her idea with a couple of tweaks and made it a tag instead. How cute!! I found it was best to use the die as a guide to help you glue on all of the cardstock first (Powder Pink, Dazzling Diamond glimmer paper, Sahara Sand and Black). Then once all of your cardstock is stamped (Crushed Curry) and glued you will then run it through the big shot several times.

After you run it through the big shot you will need to cut off the excess cardstock. But since you already had all the cardstock glued your pencil tag is just about complete. I used the Labeler Alphabet to add his teachers name to the tag.

I added the tag to the Striped Treat bags (which held a card and a gift card) with one of the Eclectic Shaped paper clips which had a Basic Black Baker's twine bow. These paper clips are so cute! I really need to use them more.

And now here is my little man ready for his first day!

Have a great day!!
